Long Beach Marathon Expo 2011

Tegnap délután választottam a bit testvéremet (aki egész hétvégén tartózkodik velünk), és a Long Beach Marathon Expo felé tart. Ez a hely mindig rendkívül szépnek és ismerősnek érzi magát, mivel oly sokszor elmentem! Még a Half Marys/Blog/Ben/stb futtatása előtt elkészítettem a 26.2 -es biciklit az ex -vel. Azóta hasonlóan néhányszor, mint egyszer futok a félig.

When I got back I felt hungry and grabbed a handful of PB pretzels with extra PB plus a bag of popcorn. No pic = not the full story of eats ?

Truthfully, that happens a lot around here. I have a bad routine if grabbing handfuls of cereal, chips or trail mix that never get documented on the blog. It’s not that big of a deal – but they really do add up (especially with my huge hands!).

Then, I ate cottage cheese with pineapple and cereal x2. I love this snack, but always forget to get cottage cheese at the store! I know this picture isn’t that appetizing. Hey, they can’t all be winners folks…

I have no idea what to make for dinner. I want to use up some pantry items I already have on hand like – lentils, rice and tomatoes. We’ll see what it becomes in a bit.

After training I was pretty hungry and stopped at Sprouts for a sandwich. Turkey on sweet prairie bread with all the veggies – including sprouts of course. I really think alfalfa sprouts make a sandwich taste healthier, no?

I picked up a few treats from the bulk bins too. These dark chocolate covered cashews were HUGE.

With my tummy full I headed to my mom’s for a check out (and to rob her fridge).

Did you know I tried Swedish Fish for the first time last week? I kinda love them.

The rest of the day was a blur because I was exhausted. This skinny girl margarita didn’t help the situation.

Luckily (?) my Physical therapy visit for this afternoon was canceled so I have some additional time to work with. But, this implies I won’t be able to go back to PT until next Friday at the earliest.

Walk it out

I know TOM can make you more tired than usual… however I really just accept as well as embrace that a bit. If I feel sleepy or sluggish I just try to get to bed earlier. It’s not rocket science, however it is important self-care.

But, I don’t slack off completely, I make it a point to exercise – I’m just open to altering it up a bit. I really feel like this helps make me feel much better physically as well as emotionally.

Today I took a walk with my favorite SkinnyRunner as well as her lil puppy. The weather is perfection as well as catching up with her put me in the best mood (read: having her listen to me vent about life, liberty as well as the pursuit).

Eating healthy or at least 80/20

This isn’t relegated to specific times – I always eat what I’m craving. Today I was craving my simple peanut sauce. Finom!
